Whydah Discoverer, Barry Clifford, to speak at National Geographic

Barry Clifford, who discovered the Whydah shipwreck in 1984 and has worked for over 25 years to recover its contents, will be speaking at National Geographic on April 11 at 7:30pm. Clifford is giving his talk in conjunction with the recent opening of the “Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship” exhibition at the National Geographic Museum. The films for the exhibition were produced, written and directed by Blue Bear Films’ Maggie Burnette Stogner, along with other multimedia and interactive material.
