“Arabia Uncovered” airs on the Smithsonian Channel on April 6 at 8pm and 11pm and on April 9 at 8pm. The U.S. material for this film was produced by Professor Maggie Burnette Stogner in conjunction with the Smithsonian traveling exhibition, “Roads of Arabia.” It explores the little-known history of the Arabian Peninsula, from its first settlers over 6,000 years ago, to the sophisticated civilizations that emerged along the incense trade routes, to the early pilgrimage roads to Mecca.
