The Field Museum has just announced it will host the touring exhibition The Greeks – Agamemnon to Alexander the Great come November 2015. The museum’s Curator, William Parkinson, is very enthusiastic about the presentation of the exhibition. In his words,
“This exhibition is not your typical Art Historical display of pretty vases and statues; it really gives the visitor an opportunity to see the evolution not only art, but also of Greek culture, politics, and economics over the long-term.”
Thanks to Blue Bear Films’ extensive immersive media and short films to provide context about the exhibition’s priceless treasures, visitors can relate to these ancient artifacts in a whole new way.
The Greeks – Agamemnon to Alexander the Great is currently on view at Pointe-à-Callière, Montréal. It closes on April 26th. Starting June 5th, the exhibition will open at the Canadian Museum of History.
